ON WAKE SCHOOL PROTESTS AND THE LEFT'S HYPOCRISY

Let's review content expressed by Jim Goodmon's Capitol Broadcasting Company's editorial:

"Berating, belittling, cursing and threatening. Seeing and hearing it from audiences has become all-too-common at local government meetings – particularly at local school boards.

It is the kind of behavior we’re sure -- if any of those speakers saw it on a visit to a public school among students or teachers – would ignite justifiable shock and concern for decorum and safety."

"... many who speak at public meetings are belligerent and threatening toward the elected to local board and commission members as well as to the professional administrators and even classroom teachers."

We'll take the bait and accept Goodmon/WRAL's standard for proper decorum at public meetings.

We'll also go down memory lane to 2010 ...

You can also see both current Wake County Board of Education member Jim Martin and Wake County Commissioner Susan Evans yelling and shutting down a Wake County Board of Education meeting here

Great Schools in Wake (WakeUp Wake County) were also escorted out of a NC Senate Committee meeting.

You can also view Yevonne Brannon disrupting a Wake County Board of Education meeting here

Let's not forget that former Wake County Board of Education member Kevin Hill promised to "stir up the pot against the majority."

More of Wake County Commissioner Susan Evans singing and yelling to shut down Wake County Board of Education meetings here

Let's not forget about former Wake County Board of Education Chairman Keith Sutton:

"In an interview Tuesday, Prickett said that at the closed-session discussion Sept. 24 on firing Tata, Sutton had told the GOP members that he and the Democratic members were going to kick your asses.” The next day, Prickett said, Sutton got out of his seat, leaned over toward Goldman, clenched his fists and loudly said to her, Shut the (expletive) up!” (emphasis added)

“He asked whether he was singled out as the only African-American male on the board.”

News & Observer - October 24, 2012

"At Tuesday's meeting, Sutton wore a #BlackLivesMatter shirt as he mentioned his near arrest at a July 2010 board meeting in which Raleigh Police arrested 16 people inside the board meeting room. Sutton had waded into the crowd, which was protesting the school board's efforts to end busing for diversity, in what he said was an attempt to defuse the situation."

Jim Goodmon has financially supported the chaos creation antics of WakeUp Wake County. WRAL - ideological hypocrites.

WAKEUP RALEIGH

Recently Raleigh hosted a community engagement session with its 27 boards and commissions.

Of interest?

DEAR WAKE COUNTY FAMILIES: YOU'RE STILL RACISTS

It's been eight years since the landmark Wake County Board of Education 2009 elections. WakeUp Wake County's sub-organization, Great Schools (not students) in Wake, is still calling Wake County families racists.

THE WAKEUP RALEIGH CITY COUNCIL

April turned out to be a stellar month for WakeUp Wake County as it increased its control over the Raleigh City Council.

1. Karen Rindge, Executive Director of WakeUp Wake County, appointed to the Raleigh Transit Authority. She joins WakeUp Wake County Vice Chair Veronica Alcine who serves on Raleigh's Planning Commission.

2. Raleigh celebrates WakeUp Wake County's efforts to push through a regressive tax increase on South Park residents for a flawed transit system.

3. The City of Raleigh serves as a "Community Champion" for WakeUp Wake County's leftist progressive agenda. And how does one become a Community Champion?

4. You take $2500 from Raleigh taxpayers and give it to them.

Again - stellar month for WakeUp Wake County as they further exert their control over the City of Raleigh.

GET ARRESTED AND CREATE CHAOS AT WAKEUP WAKE COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETINGS. GET COMMUNITY SERVICE CREDIT.

So now you can volunteer with WakeUp Wake County to fulfill the WakeUp County Public School System requirements? Does that include getting arrested and creating chaos and riots at WakeUp Wake County Board of Education meetings?

WAKE DEMS: TOOL OF WAKEUP WAKE COUNTY

A message from Wake County Democrat Party Chairman candidate David Bland:

"Work with ... Wake-up Wake County"

We think the correct verbiage is "answer to."

And throw in his ties with "Rev." William "John 2:16" Barber also:

KEVIN HILL: CONSUMMATE LIAR

Yesterday's N&O featured a letter by former WakeUp Wake County Board of Education Chairman and forced busing/social experimentation on black kids advocate Kevin Hill.

The topic? Tony Tata.

Social experimenter Kevin Hill responded to an article in the March 4, 2017 News & Observer about Tata's current vocation as an author "turning out fictional tough guys."

Note the nuanced language that social experimenter Kevin Hill uses:

"Party politics played no role." Kevin Hill blended truth into his larger lie. Party politics would involve Republican versus Democrat. We'll grant him that.

WakeUp Wake County Board of Education elections and policies have never centered around party politics. The real politics has between Wake County families battling against WakeUp Wake County, magnet boosters and forced busing advocates who constantly reassigned their children in the name of a failed forced busing/social experimentation policy.

Of course, Mr. Hill cleverly nuances his words.

Let's look at the actual truth.

In 2011 WakeUp Wake County advocates led a successful charge to retake ideological control of the WakeUp Wake County Board of Education. Before Susan "the singing CPA" Evans, Christine "Science and Math" Kushner and Jim "the Great Oz" Martin began their term and were still part of the WakeUp Wake County chaos creation, something interested was happening. Kevin Hill was blind carbon copying those three in his official WakeUp Wake County Board of Education communications.

Take a look at the above document again. See anyone else who WakeUp Wake County Board of Education member Kevin Hill copied? Yes, none other than Great Schools in Wake Chairman Yevonne Brannon. Kevin Hill thought by blind carbon copying Brannon he could avoid public transparency and hide his ongoing coordination with WakeUp Wake County.

But that of course is what liars do.

INSPIRING?

Over the last month, the education establishment has heralded a single statistic from the principal at Carroll Middle School.

"MacWilliams said she visits the homes of all of her students because it helps her connect with parents and teachers on a deeper level, It’s something she has been doing since she was an elementary school teacher in Wilmington."

“As many home visits as I have done, I’ve never left a home visit disappointed.”

Let's look at some other statistics:

Actual student performance?

At or above grade level at Carroll Middle School? Only 54.1%. Almost half of the school is not performing at or above grade level.

School safety?

And to think, 98.9 percent of the Carroll Middle School teachers are "highly qualified."

We'll acknowledge that she's only been the principle since July 2015, but let's look at some real education statistics and have a sober conversation about the actual students at this school.

WAKEUP WAKE COUNTY GETS ANOTHER ONE UNDER THEIR CONTROL

“I think it’s really important to keep healthy schools and diverse schools,” she said. “Our children deserve that. We do not need to have schools where everybody looks the same. We need diversity.”

“Magnet schools are what I would call awesome choices,” said Hartenstine, who sent one of her two children to a Wake magnet school. “It’s about choice. We have families today who want choice in their school and there’s no reason that they have to leave the public school arena to have choice.”

- Kathy Hartenstine - News & Observer, 1-27-17

Thank you to my team that encouraged me to pursue this ... Thank you ... Yevonne Brannon.

WAKE COUNTY PROGRESSIVE HYPOCRISY

Unless you've been on another planet for the last week, you've likely read, heard or watched something about the "evil" Republicans at the NC General Assembly. They did something that threatened the very fabric of our state, nation and world. It sparked "true" outrage from the left - resulting in protests and ultimately arrests from folks locally who were so passionate about transparency and the public will of the voters.

So, let's talk about their outrage. For twelve plus years, those same leftists worked in concert with City of Raleigh elected officials and Dix Park Conservancy folks, outside of the public eye, to push for the establishment of a park on the Dorothea Dix property.

Even the City of Raleigh noted that they conducted not one public hearing on this issue.

We had an initial $58 million purchase that was negotiated over the course of several years with absolutely no public hearing. Over 197 pages of closed session minutes with absolutely no concern. The final cost of this project remains to be determined but will easily run over $100 million.

Leftist agitprops like Yevonne Brannon - who appeared at the General Assembly last week (in the middle of the day - not dark of night) to protest this outrageous action, remained silent during the Dix negotiations that were done behind closed doors.

She also criticized the hiring of Wake County Public School System Superintendent Tony Tata for being "secretive":

“The relentless pattern of secretive behavior by the Board Majority is simply appalling,” said Yevonne Brannon, Chair, Great Schools in Wake Coalition. “In past superintendent searches, parents, students, teachers, community leaders and elected officials all had the opportunity to meet with prospective finalists."

Great Schools in Wake Coalition press release, 12-23-10

Of course, she silenced her criticism when her hypocritical bigotry was made clear.

Once again, the Wake County progressive left's principled talk is nothing more than political maneuvering and about power. Don't be fooled.

THE CONTRADICTORY RALEIGH CHAMBER

Years ago, before the WakeUp Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce was co-opted by WakeUp Wake County, they actually mustered enough strength on occasion to be intellectually honest.

Now the WakeUp Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce just falls in line with the latest progressive fad making the rounds:

1. Using Wake County's children as instruments in a failed socio-economic diversity experiment

2. Catering to the transgender lobby.

3. General downtown lackey.

4. Regressive sales tax transit cheerleaders

The latest:

Now WakeUp lackey Tim Giuliani and the WakeUp Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce have jumped on the sports/tourism events bandwagon and the associated meal and hotel taxes.

But flashback to 1995 when the WakeUp Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce had a moment of intellectual honesty:

"To bolster his argument, Fetzer refereed to a year-old chamber study that concluded that civic projects such as basketball arenas, children's museums and performing arts centers do little to attract business."

"The April 1994 study by the chamber's Committee to Improve the Tax Base cited another recent study that found, to the chamber's surprise, that in business' location decisions, "factors that scored relatively low included access to rail, climate, recreational/cultural amenities."

"The study also says that "money spent on various social and cultural programs has a negative impact on local economies."

"... factors that scored relatively low included access to rail ..."

"... money spent on various social and cultural programs has a negative impact on local economies."

"... civic projects such as basketball arenas, children's museums and performing arts centers do little to attract business."

We agree with the WakeUp Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce that draining the local economy of billions of dollars through regressive sales, hotels and meals taxes does have an economic impact.

The WakeUp Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce is not capable of being honest however. The WakeUp/local progressive left would not allow it.

WAKEUP WAKE COUNTY: WHITE PARENTS ARE RACISTS

It's been seven years since the 2009 Wake County Board of Education elections when forced busing was widely rebuked by Wake County families across racial, political and geographic boundaries.

Sadly, WakeUp Wake County is still playing the race card.

ROXIE CASH THE REPUBLICAN? PART 4

We've previously discussed Roxie Cash's Republican "credentials."

Next up? Her 1999 endorsement of the 54.2% Coalition's darling Tom Oxholm:

Wake County District 3 residents might as well write in the "Rev." William "John 2:16" Barber's name. There's really no difference.

ROXIE CASH THE REPUBLICAN? PART 3

So Roxie Cash, free of any challenge for her WakeUp Wake County Board of Education seat, has decided to throw her support to other candidates.

And of course the endorsement goes to Gary Lewis - the 54.2% Coalition's candidate of choice to take Susan "the singing CPA" Evans place in District 8.

THEY WRECKED ONE MASSIVE WAKE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM ...

WTVD ABC 11 - August 26, 2016

Now on to wreck another ...

The same people who have severely mismanaged the Wake County Public School System's public transportation now want you to trust them with billions of dollars on a public transit system - resulting in regressive sales tax increases for residents who will see no benefit.

ROXIE CASH? YOU MIGHT AS WELL WRITE-IN WILLIAM BARBER OR YEVONNE BRANNON.

The filing period for Wake County Board of Education races has closed. As it stands Roxie Cash will become the District 3 member post-election as she faces no opposition.
Wondering why the Democrats failed to put up a candidate against her? Don't. It wasn't by accident. On school issues she might as well be one of them.
As a former WakeUp Wake County Board of Education member, Roxie has a long standing history of support for forced-busing and labeling Wake County parents as racists. In 2009 she joined with Wake County Democrats to endorse their slate for the Wake County County Board of Education.

She also participated in a WakeUp Wake County organized press conference attacking the Wake County Board of Education in 2010 and signed a letter supporting forced-busing as well.

YOUR LATEST GREAT HYPOCRITES IN WAKE UPDATE

Teachers (supposed to be role models) go in the middle of the street and block traffic:

The left cheers and encourages blocking traffic.

But abortion protestors:

Purportedly block a driveway and the left goes hysterical and gnashes their teeth. Of course, they have falsely accused Hand of Hope - a crisis pregnancy center - of doing this. Of course, no police report was filed because when the officer arrived, no one was present. Calla Hales, an administrator at the abortion clinic just makes a blanket assertion. In this era of smart phones and instant access to recording devices, funny how we have none in this instance.

Over the course of the last year, there have been very few police calls at A Preferred Women's "Health" Center. Even fewer that may have an even remote relation to protestors.

Yet, Calla Hales - an administrator at a "health" center whose mission is to end lives, asks that the Raleigh City Council deny a permit based on safety.

WAKEUP WRAL

In the past we've detailed the financial support that WRAL provides to WakeUp Wake County.

Note - CAFT is a subgroup within WakeUp Wake County.

Their latest?
